Install Linux Distributions

1. If you type wsl and get below error, the will install Linux Distribution Manually.

PS C:\Users\TechGeekNext> wsl
Windows Subsystem for Linux has no installed distributions.
Distributions can be installed by visiting the Microsoft Store:
https://aka.ms/wslstore
PS C:\Users\TechGeekNext>

Windows Subsystem for Linux has no installed distributions.

2. Open the Microsoft store page for Linux distribution -> Click on Get -> Click on "Open Microsoft Store"

3. It'll open the Windows Microsoft Store for Ubuntu to install.


4. A console window will open the first time you begin a newly installed Linux distribution, and you'll be asked to wait a minute or two for files to decompress and be stored on your PC. All subsequent launches will be take a minute pause.

   For your new Linux distribution, you'll need to create a user account and password.
